2015 Cider Making – Racking To Secondary Fermentation

First fermentation:
1/3 cup brown sugar/gallon cider
yeast nutrient
Nottingham or Safale S-04 yeast

Second Fermentation:
Racked onto raisin and orange combination, or strawberry/blueberry/blackberry combination with 1/6 cup brown sugar per gallon cider.

I may add extra sugar if the specific gravity does not come up in a day or two. I will do that by heating some brown sugar with water until melted together, then pouring into the carboy. No stirring! It can introduce oxygen into the brew.
