HBW – How to brew a Pumpkin Ale

Hi there everyone!
Can’t wait for Halloween night to try this gorgeous beer: a spiced pumpkin ale. Hope you like it!

Here’s the recipe:

720 g Maris Otter
90 g Munich
60 g Special W
450 g roasted pumpkin (or butternut squash)

Mash for 60 min at 65 ºC

Hops and spices’ additions:

3 g Simcoe: 60 min
5 g Ahtanum: 15 min
3 cloves & 1/4 cinnamon stick: 12 min
1/4 tablet protafloc: 10 min

Yeast: Safale US05
