Homebrew Recipe: Pumpkin Stout

Episode 1 – Chris and Alex talk about the recipe we used for brewing a pumpkin stout! Since this is Chris’s recipe, he gives us the lowdown on all the decisions he made for this brew.

Here’s the recipe:

Grains:
13 lbs. Two Row Malt
1 lbs. Chocolate Malt
12 oz. Roasted Barley
8 oz. Crystal 60L Malt
4 oz. Special B Malt
4 oz. Carapils
8 oz. Rice Hulls
Hops:
1.5 oz. East Kent Golding at 60 minutes
1 oz. East Kent Golding at 20 minutes
Flavoring:
58 oz. Pumpkin Puree
Spices:
1/2 tsp. All Spice
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1 oz Ginger Root
2 Cloves
2 Cinnamon Sticks
1 pinch of curry powder
Yeast:
Wyeast 1028 London Ale
